Well - "Black and White"

Well - "Black and White" is currently the dish of the day "chez Carline" at the moment, and it's every bit as good as I hoped it would be 8). Aside from a few annoying bugs (nothing truly disasterous, but I'll be happier when a patch arrives) it's a pretty amazing game. As it's turned out, I'm an evil git. I tried, I really tried to be good. Nothing warms the cockles better than a slightly smoldering disciple, as I've always said.

Found a surprisingly good webcam in Game this afternoon for 20 quid. Build, image and software quality puts webcams 6 times the price to shame. I'm a happy bunny 8)

I've barely done anything by way of development (outside of work) for the last few days. I attribute this to tiredness. Hopefully the Easter break will give me the opportunity to recharge the old batteries a bit - fingers crossed!

Having said that, I've been thinking a lot about the mechanics of my game over the last few days, and now I'm beginning to get increasingly confident about its viability and general "doableness", especially for someone like me. So far my (for want of a better term) "technology demos" aren't anything to crow about (unless flickery "line art" moves you in ways that are not entirely natural) but at least I feel I'm beginning to get the hang of the basic principles now. We'll see.

Oh, and the "Knight Rider" and "Sound of Music" DVDs turned up this morning, having just been beaten out by "Lawrence of Arabia" which arrived yesterday. Suddenly I've had an idea about combining elements from all three of those into a winning screenplay... Definitely time for bed, methinks...
