Cooking and the art of Vim

Posted at 9:19 AM on 15 October 2001

Well, after cooking and fiddling about with a few new features in vim 6.0, I absolutely failed to get anything done on the new-site front (quelle surprise). Still, at least I got a reasonable amount of sleep in.

Managed to oversleep this morning, but managed to get to work on time despite the best efforts of Thameslink and the London Underground. Westminister Station was closed due to a security alert, and only reopened after I was halfway up the escalator after leaving the platform resigned to the task of walking from Green Park to Millbank in the rain. So back down the escalator again and onto the platform... joy.

After leaving the train at Westminister, I noticed a strange and sinister smell permeating the atmosphere... nothing unusual there then; Westminister Station always smells of half-rotten fish...
