Nothing much to note aside from the stresses of life. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the worst is over and that things are on the mend. Into my second week of work now, although it seems I've been there longer - although I suppose it has been nearly two weeks now!
The stuff I'm doing at the moment is really interesting. Although I'm not involved in the science, it's all quite fascinating and there's some really cool stuff to work on... I really enjoyed what I was doing today, even if the results might appear (to the casual observer) a mite unspectacular. It's all in the back end, you see ;).
Anyway, a really nice bonus about working in a unix environment is that I'm really beginning to learn vim properly - leaping about from buffer to buffer, managing multiple windows and cutting and pasting like a pro. Well. Maybe a keen amateur. 8) Looks like I'm finally going to nail that TextPad dependency once and for all!.
I've still got to get my head around the other 99.999% of the features, bells and whistles that accompany vim, but at least I'm a little further down the path than I used to be.
