Don't mock it! I'd give my left nipple nut to be able to watch ceefax, and both nipple nuts to be able to do so without having to hit the buttons myself.

But I wasn't mocking! I was genuinely enthralled! I just thought they'd stopped doing it a long, long time ago. The only thing that could have made the experience any better would have been if they'd had Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass playing "Spanish Flea" in the background, rather than the lacklustre Kenny-G type affairs they actually did. 8)

Funnily enough, I was watching the very same phenomenon at about the very same time. But I'd turned the sound down, so I missed out on the audio accompaniment.

you clearly don't reel into your living room late at night,turn on the tv and pass out. I've come round to this more times than I care (am physically able?) to remember ... although normally they've adopted the high pitch wine by this point! ;-)
