For the last three days, I've been staying in Cambridge (on an Oracle course, no less!) and I'd meant to post something ("Woohoo! I'm in Cambridge", whatever, I'm not sure) whilst I was there - but now I'm back home it hardly seems worth it. Which is (obviously) why I'm posting this now...
Actually, it was a great course - I got to stay at the Lensfield Hotel (just a two-minute walk from the Chemistry department, where the course was held), even if I did get lost on the first day and ended up walking around for 20 minutes - only to find that the building I'd been looking for was actually on the same road as the hotel (and practically next door). I even learnt a few things about Oracle... 8)
Still, it was great getting back to the Mrs and the kids (Thomas was funny - he asked Terri where I was... "He's staying at the hotel", to which he replied "Why does he want to go there?"), although I'd managed to speak to them on the phone every day I was away.
Aside from that though, everything's been ticking along much like it has been recently, with only the prospect of Episode II (which I'm hopefully going to see on Sunday!) looming on the near horizon.
Still, it's all part of the fun - even if my writing style (such as it was) has gone to pot in the meantime... 8)
