It's still a few months away yet, but an Acme Klein Bottle would be a fantastic gift. My life is simply incomplete without a zero-volume bottle. Throw in the fact that each Acme Klein Bottle comes with a free topological fundamental group which can be homomorphically mapped onto the Baumslag-Solitar group, and I just can't see how I can do without one...

In other news, my successful run of express-checkout guessing continues unabated - three in a row, now! It was another nailbiter, cashier #4 (my guess) pipping cashier #7 by a matter of seconds. In fact, this win was the best yet, as there was a full contingent of 15 cashiers (the other day had only about 12).
