Well, I'm still working on my redesign (which is taking a bit of a back burner whilst I work on other stuff) I decided to update my site so that it finally validates as XHTML. It's been nearly there all along, but I just had to tweak a few things to prevent errors being spat out. Please let me know if I've broken anything in the process - all seems to be well on the browsers I've tested (Safari and Camino on the Mac).
I've also tweaked the individual pages (where the comments live) so that they also validate, and also updated the comment form so that it can finally "remember info". I'm sure I know at least one person who will be pleased with that. ;-)
And thirdly, I'd like to congratulate Robert Roberts for being the first person to find and act upon a hidden message I'd planted in my site two years ago (and which I'd subsequently forgotten all about). Robert runs a site dedicated to web standards, accessibility and search engine optimisation. It's an excellent resource I'd not seen before, and heartily recommend interested parties taking a look.
Mike just sent me an IM informing me that my handy new commenting system was broken in IE. IE sucks arse. I've put in a quick fix for now, hopefully will get to the bottom of why it's not working properly over the weekend... sigh
