Cripes, it appears to be getting close to the end of the year again. I can barely believe it - this year has gone quickly.
Plenty of stuff going on at the moment - some of which I can even talk about - it's all terribly exciting :-).
We've finally gotten rid of our rental television (yes, I know - a stupid idea to start with, let alone to continue for 3-4 years) and taken delivery of a new, better, cheaper, beautiful TV from these guys, who were - simply put - fantastic. We ordered on Sunday evening, I received a phonecall Monday morning to confirm, and the next day our order arrived. And all at prices significantly lower than the high street (our TV was about 40% cheaper than what we'd seen it for in Curries).
I've learned to cook ciabatta bread, and very yummy it is too. And it toasts up a treat. Particularly good with strawberry jam, or ham and cheese if you're in a savoury mood. Normal bread just doesn't appeal any more...
And finally, I've decided to save up for a new computer - a Dual 1.8Ghz G5 Macintosh. No idea when I'll achieve this, but hopefully sooner rather than later. Over the past year, I've fallen head over heels with my iBook and Mac OS X - I simply don't want to use anything else now. The power of Unix underpinning a stunning UI? What's not to like? ;-) Seriously though, I'm intending to replace three of my current computers with the beast, saving space and electricity to boot.
I can barely wait :-)
