I remember, back when Hutton was first selected to lead the public inquiry, that he was chosen because of his close ties with Blair. So it really should have come as no surprise that the end result would be precisely as it turned out. In my heart of hearts, I always knew it would.
And yet, there was that tiny amount of hope -- just a glimmer, nothing more -- that what goes around comes around.
It might not have had its time today. But that glimmer is still there.
And it will have its moment.
