Looks like that after "The Incredibles" and "Cars", Pixar will be looking for a new distributor - the two companies have decided to go their separate ways after the current contract ends in 2006.
Apparently, it would appear that Disney can make sequels to Pixar films if Pixar declines -- Toy Story 3 is already purely in Disney's hands -- although some wag on the forum noted, "Disney making TS3 instead of Pixar is like Ringo making a new Beatles album on his own.".
I'm not inclined to disagree.
Anyway. Who's for betting the next Pixar movie will be distributed by Dreamworks? :-)
hey. im keyshaun yang. i live in sheboygan wisconsin and im doing a report about PIXAR. its called "national history day". i just want to ask a few short questions. they are: when you say coming in holiday 2004 or 2005, what month exactly do you mean? what things have you improved on since 1986 like the sound or graphic or picture, etc? and: are you(PIXAR)planning on making "Toy Story 3". thats all my short questions. and i would just like to say i love your movies, especially "Toy Story 2". i watch it all the time. i love it. i'll probably say its my all-time favorite movie. its just wonderful. and i would love it if you would write back before October 3rd, 2004. so please answer my questions. thank you and god bless.
